 Lifted directly from DIR's King
Biscuit Flower Hour, this track listing starts out with the original lineup and moves into a Chrissie Hynde solo
appearance at London's Royal Albert hall and ends up at California's 1983 US Festival. The cover states the first
set of songs was recorded in 1987 in Orlando, Florida. While there is no way the songs from the original lineup
could have been recorded in '87, the KBFH cue sheet lists the show as being from Central Park, 1980. But if the
band played only one show in Central Park that was broadcast, and the live cut from Extended Play is from that
same New York show, then King Biscuit is also wrong because those two performances of Precious are not even similar.
Incorrect song titles are "Ohio" and as on King Biscuit's cue, I Go to Sleep is listed as "I Love
To...". Includes a sterilized Precious (gone are "shittin' bricks" and "fuck off") from
the original lineup as well as The Beatles' In My Life and Mitch Ryder's Little Latin Lupe Lu from the Hynde solo
performance. |

Don't let the name fool you, this
boot is the Pretenders. From the soundboard of the November 3, 1994 Rosemont Horizon (Chicago) gig. The
radio station that sponsored the show, WXRT, gave away free tickets and broadcast the performance. The Pretenders
were really kicking that night and were joined on stage by Urge Overkill who performed The Carpenters hit Superstar,
listed on the CD as "Fifteen Hard-Ons A Day". The makers of this boot also left out the number "9"
on the track listing. Since your CD player can count to ten and even beyond, you'll end up with 17 tracks instead
of the 18 that are claimed. They also are not familiar with their letters and managed to announce on the side of
the CD that the band you'll be listening to will be "Predenders". You'll soon forgive them for these
mistakes because they've included an unreleased photo of the band as well as a picture of Chrissie that's not often
seen. |
| Revolution (Blizzard BLZD103 on the cover; the CD says 'The New Revolution' with a
catalog number of AVL-002) |

Private Life / Criminal / Love Or Take / Thumblina / Creep / Him Or Her / Hit / 2,000 Miles / Brass In Pocket /
My City Is Gone / Angel Of The Morning

Send in the title police, we've
some hardcore criminals here. Song titles include "Chili Factor", "I Hurt", "Love Or Take"
(Lovers Of Today), "Thumblina", "Him Or Her" (Hymn To Her), "Hit" (The Phone Call),
"My City Is Gone". Taken from a broadcast of the acoustic November 5, 1995 show at Symphony Space in
New York City. Put the headphones on, close your eyes and listen to Creep. You'll be there in the theater with
the rest of us, holding your breath in anticipation of each note. Even if you have a taped copy of the show, you'll
want to get this boot for the photos and of course to hear me hooting excitedly throughout the show, as the volume
of noise from the audience has been turned up. |

It might look like an official
release, but it's not. This CD, which began appearing in October 1999, contains some live tracks from charity benefits
(which is really low, stealing from charities), b-sides and so-called rarities. There's nothing truly rare
here, but it's a nice collection of tracks. Allegedly made in Japan, the quality of the CDs varies from one batch
to the next. Some contain noticeable cracks and pops while others are clean. The ends of the last two tracks are
cut off to allow both to fit on the CD. |

 This item stretches
the generosity of the term "piece of crap". Tracks 1-10 are from the VH1 Storytellers broadcast. Tracks
11-20 are from the 1984 MTV Detroit broadcast from the Fox Theatre. The CD is actually a CD-R and there is a constant
hissing throughout the entire recording. It's a CD only a collector could love... well not quite, this copy was
donated to the Archives by fellow collector Jealous Dog Willy after he deemed it unworthy (we take ALL Pretenders
garbage!). Buyer beware. |
