I adore Morrissey's version and thought the Pretenders could cover it really well. Of course I mentioned nothing of it to her. Then the soundtrack for Boys On The Side came out and included this song! I don't know if they were planning to record it, had already recorded it, or were yet to be approached about recording it when I nearly mentioned it, but it's still very odd.
