My City Was Gone
(Learning To Crawl)
C. Hynde
Many people think My City was released as a single and look for it on The Singles LP. It was released as the B-side of Chain Gang. Being the only new Pretenders music available at that time (and the demand for it was very high), DJs all around the US flipped the single over and played the B-side, making it a hit in its own right. The Chain Gang 45 later became a "Back To Back Hit" with its original B-side instead of another A-side.
