According to the July 10 New York Daily News...
Chrissie Hynde gave a little concert last week - in a Belgian karaoke bar.
It happened Sunday night in Antwerp. Hynde found herself at the local Happy Tune karaoke hangout after spending
the day protesting outside the European Parliament against proposed chemical testing on animals.
A deejay at the bar who recognized the lead singer of the Pretenders cued up three of the group's most famous
hits, "Brass in Pocket," "Back on the Chain Gang" and "I'll Stand by You." Rather
than listen to someone else tackle her lead vocals, Hynde got up and performed.
There is no word on how much, if any, she made in tips, or if she was told not to quit her day job.
