 Chrissie
and other members of PETA were arrested during a protest outside a Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant in central
Paris. The protest was to raise awareness of the inhumane methods used to kill the chickens used by KFC. The group
was detained by police after smearing red paint, a symbol of the blood of dead chickens, on the restaurant's windows
and holding up traffic.
"The protest won't end here," said Hynde, who was to perform Friday at the Festival Des Vieilles Charrues
in France. "Even if I shout for two hours I can assure you, I'll still have a voice for the concert."
She later praised the French police for their efficiency, saying, "In France, it's a very healthy protest
scene and very common for people to take to the streets to air their grievances. We went to a police station, we
filled out a form, we'll pay a fine. That's it."

Chrissie voices Siri the leopard in "Rugrats Go Wild", which opens in theaters this Friday, June 13.
The soundtrack features "Big Bad Cat", a duet between Siri and Bruce Willis' character, a dog named Spike.
Of his duet with Hynde, Bruce said, "Chrissie has a great voice, really sultry, which fits her character perfectly.
I guess my voice fits my character too, since I pretty much sing like a dog."
