The Pretenders, along with U2, The O'Jays, Percy Sledge and Buddy Guy, will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2005! The induction ceremony will be on March 14 at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in Manhattan.

"When I was growing up in Ohio all I wanted to do was play guitar and sing in a rock band. I went to England and it happened but sadly our glory days were short lived. It's gratifying to know that James Honeyman Scott and Pete Farndon are being remembered and commemorated for all the wonderful music they gave us when we started The Pretenders.

Martin Chambers and I will be accepting the induction to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in their honour."
