July 16, Clarkston, MI - Pine Knob by LB I was really looking forward to the gig in Detroit since I'd just about collapsed from the heat at my previous Pretenders show in Cincinnati, Ohio and was unable to enjoy it. I was psyched for this one, having always heard people (no doubt from there) say Detroit was a great audience for the Pretenders, but we damn near got lynched for standing up during the performance. We were harrassed by security and pelted by garbage the whole time the band was onstage. Had a verbal altercation with the, uh, gentleman behind me, the sorry-assed coward. What can I say? Detroit, you suck.
